Hello there, recently my internet has been constantly cutting out. Devices are still connected but the internet doesnt work on any devices. Resetting only helps for about 1 min, then it goes back to being passive. I do have some reason to believe that i am under DOS but i am unsure as to how to check. I did try the netstat command, every single time the internet goes out, you can bet this weird *:* is showing up with multiple services. How could i stop this attack, all help is appreciated! Thanks!

Here is an example of netstat -a when the internet cut out (its back on now)- I should also add everytime to the internet cuts out the 'down stream' light on my router is blinking away.

Solution
Your pc will show nothing from a DoS attack. Your router protects you because it is too stupid to know to which machine in your house to send traffic to, unless you have the DMZ turned on, so it just discards it.

It is much more likely it is just a issue with the cabling to your house. Check any cabling you can see and be sure there is no issues and then call your ISP.....don't even mention DoS they will not take you seriously.

If it is actually a real DoS attack you can do nothing so it does not pay to worry about it.
