My memory usage usually stops at 3.09GB according o task manager, having these specs
Total 4062
cached like 3gb
available 1gb
free 0~15 MB

For both games dota and battlefield 4 this is set like that. Like as if they require the same amount of ram?
Now, in dota I've been getting fps drops (to like 30~40) depends on the scene, and moderate stuttering depends if im multitasking on programs that feed off of ram (like skype, opening music in chrome). Also, I've tried putting my settings to the lowest, and the fps drops as stated above still occur.
Now when I play battlefield 4 I understand that game requires much more ram than I actually have, so I close every program that could potentially feed off of my ram, and the game runs accordingly with no stuttering (although this is a bold statement because that game does come with stuttering; especially if you have 4 gb ram like me)

So what does my ram reading mean? Does my dota stutter due to ram overload or just because Im stupid?

Specs are:
FX 6300
Sapphire OC edition r9 280
1TB WD
Seasonic m12ii 620W bronze
(I've built this PC about two months ago).

edit:
I just looked through my norton history of memory usage and BF4 and dota 2 required almost the same ram?
BF4= 1.4GB
Dota 2=1.2GB
do these two games really take up the same memory?

yes it will be better to run safe mode as this way malware and the trojans surely wont multiply. run and remove virus about 6x before going back to the normal mode.

yes viruss and malwares can slow your baby down,

Ok I will do that later, as right now I don't have time. But I am pretty sure it's just in my head. I am super paranoid over my pc because I can't quite upgrade occasionally since it takes too much money.

jus take my advice when cleaning up. SAFE MODE, run malware cleaner first then the standard anti virus you have, run it 5 times then run windows normally. This will take away your paranoia. 😛
