am3+ ga 970a ds3p broken cpu plastic socket

the plastic layer on the cpu socket was broke into pieces.Can i still insatll the cpu directly on the pins?. TQ

Take a pic of how/where it is broken. If it is broken on the part where the heatsink mounts it would be possible to simply buy a heatsink that comes with its own bracket. If it's on the actual socket it would be a risky endeavor to say the least.
