I'm not going to be impressed until they bust out better cross-platform support. Their Faq states this:
Lumberyard currently supports PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Mobile support for iOS and Android devices is coming soon, along with additional support for Mac and Linux.
The fact that they don't have release day support for mobile, Mac, and Linux triggers flags that they are only treating them as an afterthought. Simple cross-platform deployment or "build once run everywhere" is the future of software and any technology not treating it as a first class citizen isn't worth serious consideration.

You are upset that Amazon does not support MAC and LINUX? Neither do most other engines.
This is a trend that has been rapidly reversing. Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Unigine, Source, and Cryengine all support mac and linux. I'd thought Amazon would have waited to release their engine with all the cross platform support wired up from the get-go. Given that Amazon develops and maintains its own Linux distribution you'd think they'd have the resources to have baked that support alongside Windows/Xbox/PS4 release.

Not as great as it sounds.

That's a whole saving of $9.90 per month for cryengine.
Now all you need is $5490 per month in hosting fees per 1000 users of your game.
