AMAZON horrible experience

I just had a pathetic experience with amazon customer support in India. The incident started when I stumbled upon a good product listing on amazon India. ( to be specific this one : http://www.amazon.in/LG-22MP68-Full-MONITOR-1920x1080/dp/B01IBM5V66?ie=UTF8&keywords=ips%20monitor&qid=1479105924&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2). That particular LG monitor was listed for selling at Rs. 8000/-(around usd 120) and I double checked that my pin code 700149 was deliverable.
There was an ongoing promotion of 15% cashback for amazon gift card and I loaded appropriate balance only to purchase that monitor. But to my astonishment, when I went to payment page, it was showing that the product could not be delivered to my address. I went back to product listing and it was still showing that the product is deliverable to my pin code (as of writing today, it is still showing deliverable to my pin code). I got suspicious and checked some other monitors of the particular seller and found that the seller is shipping them to my address even at payment page. Clearly this was an incorrect/fraudulent listing by the seller and as a result of that my whole money got stuck in that gift card.

I contacted amazon support and told them the whole story that I am suffering for the incorrect listing in amazon site. I requested them to either deliver the product to me ( as the seller clearly delivers to my pin code as verified from other products of same category) or refund the amount to my bank account. I did not want the promotional amount of cashback, I just wanted the money I loaded in gift card as the card was bought for sole purpose of buying that monitor. I came across 3 support executives and 2 supervisors but they did not resolve my problem. One supervisor named Mohammad Abdul promised me that he has cancelled the gift card and refunded the amount and apologized for the troubled I faced. Next day I came to know that nothing has been done and it was outright lie. I came across Mr. Sampath, Md. Abdul, Ms. Afshin and Ms. Keerthana J (claimed to be supervisor). But they did not do anything to resolve my problem. They just talked like some robots and told they cant do anything. I have the whole chat transcripts saved with me for future references.

I had been purchasing from amazon for the last 3 years and recommended to everybody for their customer centric approach. I never imagined that I would have to face this kind of problem. Honestly, this whole incident is leaving me a bitter taste in my mouth. Please be aware of degradation of amazon customer service.
 
I've found that Amazon's delivery logic is hopeless. Something that can be delivered might not be once you get to checkout, or it's not deliverable until you get to checkout, or all sorts of rubbish. Or it says 'free shipping to NZ' - but it's not. 'Free international shipping for orders over $50', when viewed from NZ with the site set to NZ - but it turns out that only applies to Mexico.

How did you buy the gift card? If it's with a credit card, consider trying to get a chargeback.
