Question amd 5600+ reaches 240 f

i have been running my amd 5600+ for 24 hours at 240 f, no problems, so I am guessing temp sensors are bad?

What are you using to measure the temperatures? Older AMD’s were notorious for giving false temperature readings in most software.

cpu thermometer, and I have also used core temp...both are very close on the readings

also my pc has never shut down on thermal readings. 240f seems like it would shut down if it was truly running that hot?

Definately 240f (115c) would cause issues.
Most modern cpus will throttle or shutdown at 100c or even lower.
Likely a sensor is reading incorrectly.
