Question AMD 5800X - can it boot headless?

Good afternoon,

With Prime Day Take One today, I'm looking at building a pair of new VM nodes, and the 5800X is in a pretty sweet spot. I was curious to see if anyone has experience with using these headless?

(I know I have to have a graphics card to install the base system, yadda yadda yadda. I mean once things are installed and working, and I'm accessing it purely remotely, can I pull the graphics card? I have an old, old one I can use for install, but it will be completely useless after that.)

should be possible, pc would just beep few times due to no video output, but gpu is not necesary to boot OS...but in case of some OS failure when it enters recovery mode...you might need one

Have you tried it? My gut says it should work too, but I don't want to spend the money just to find out it can't.
