You don't need 16GB of ram, just 8GB will do, get the FX-6300, it's cheaper and better than the FX-6300, also get a better board, the samsung 840 has tlc nand, which is inferior to mlc nand in terms of reliability and has lower speeds under heavy load, i'd get a mlc nand ssd like the plextor, also you need a gfx card, the FX-6300 doesn't have a on die gpu, even for htpc, a gfx card comes in handy, there's a cheaper case, and a decent one, raidmax cases are known for low quality ones.
