Hello,

So just recently i bought the AMD 7750, and i plugged it in to my computer. I started up the computer and I could hear the graphics card fan working and everything, but my monitor persisted in saying "no signal". I have tried updating my bios, that didn't help anything.

The Graphics card has a recommended Wattage of 400 and my psu has a wattage of 460. So I'm thinking that's not the problem. I have been reading other forums cant find anything to fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated

Make sure all necessary power plugs are plugged in (6-8 pin from PSU if necessary). If you haven't installed the drivers yet, you may have to do that as well as update Direct X, if necessary, and if your motherboard/CPU has integrated graphics, try using that to boot into OS and update drivers if possible?

Right, I forgot that was mentioned above. The PSU has 460, but do take into consideration that the other components may take up more than that extra 60 watts combined, but it may not be the main issue. Have you tried using a different connection to monitor?

Also, is it possible to post some specs as well?

I dont have the other cables that it uses besides an hdmi and yes the hdmi isworking with my old card. i have heard many people that run the 7750 with only a 300 watt psu. so im pretty sure its not that and the graphics card fan is running when i startup.
My computer is the dell xps 8300 8 gb ram ddr3.
processor intel core i7 2600
monitor dell st2320l.
windows 7 64 bit
anything else?

Your XPS can handle GTX660, so it is not "strong card", it is driver issue.
You say that old AMD 5450 is working OK?

Anything else I can help you with?

If your XPS is working good otherwise with old card - it is not PSU. 7750 reported working on even 165 watt PSU!
So your could not degraded by approximately 300 watt. Something else to blame.

Do you have any friends with AMD video cards - you could just insert yours into their PCs to test the card.

Not sure what else can be done...

no all my friends have gtx cards. If thats all that could really be the problem i wonder if the card was faulty or of the hdmi slot is faulty i got it from newegg.com so ill probably send it backand get a new one and see if that fixes my issues

Can you borrow GTX card to try to install? You need stronger card than yours to see where is the problem>
