I'm considering the 7800X3D thus I have been reading reviews and forums posts from owners. One thing I have seen come up a few times is that the 7800X3D struggles if you have dual displays and you plan on playing a game on one and do other things on the other display at the same time like watching a video. A few of the posts also add that the 7700X does not have the same issue. Is this an issue anyone else has noticed and if so is it due to the cache and reduced clock speeds?

I regularly play games and watch videos at the same time and would like to know if this is a real issue?

The CPU will have nothing to do with display output, that is the GPU. The clockspeed issue is so overblown at this point it's becoming a ****ing joke. For day to day applications you will not notice the millisecond differences in load/process times. It's more likely your SSD will be the bottleneck. This is a modern 8 core 16 thread CPU, it will shred anything you throw at it while grinning madly (Like any modern CPU).

FWIW I am on a 5800X3D playing MSFS 2020 (One of the most graphically and CPU intensive games in existence) on one screen, on the other I am streaming Twitch in the background, commenting here on FF with about 20 tabs open, and I have 4 different chat apps running as well. Two of the 8 cores are asleep, the other six are at around 50% utilization. Don't fall for the troll bait.
