AMD 8350 or Intel 6600k?

Hello!

I'm looking to upgrade my my old AMD6300 and Asrock Mobo with something newer and I'm looking at AMD's 8350 or Intel's i5 6600K.

I'm trying to start up a youtube gaming channel, so I'm doing a lot of gaming while recording with OBS. I know Intel's cores are capable of more but I'm wondering if the 4 extra cores of the 8350 will help out with simultaneously gaming and recording.

Neither, i5 4690k or a xeon e3 1231 v3, skylake is to expensive for the small performance improvement over haswell.

6600k if you intend to equip a 980/TI on it... it provides a good 10% performance boost over haswell (+DDR4!)

i5-4690k is the safer and cheaper bet right now

You are better off waiting until the zen line of fx processors that is releasing in 2-months for a potential upgrade to the fx-line.
