I'm not sure i want to wait to be able to buy the 5070 for 1.5x its original price, so i'm thinking of a replacement that is close as... and the price is very nice, $400 in wallmart
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 XT GAMING OC 16G is what i'm eyeballing. however a few details (that i don't fully understand) are very much lower in this than in the nvidia.
the "Pipelines / CUDA cores" value is quite outstanding. 2048 vs 6144 and some other values, that don't look dangerously different (to me).
also https://technical.city/en/video/Radeon-RX-7600-XT-vs-GeForce-RTX-5070 this website says the PCIe of the radeon is only 8x where the nvidia is 16x. isn't that a big thing?
currently i have a rtx 3070 details in my 'bio'

Not sure what your goal here is. The RTX 3070 is faster than an RX7600 XT by quite a bit. Yes having only an 8x connection should tell you that the card is a lower end product.

7600XT is actually overpriced. It is identical to the RX 7600 except for having double the VRAM.

A sideways move for you would be the RTX 4060 Ti, minor improvement would be the RTX 4070 Super, which is about the same performance as the RTX 5070.

Better option for you might be the 7800 XT.
