amd 9590 vs 8350

hey guys ..i wanted to ask you that which is best processor fx 8350 or fx 9590....i dont know which one to buy .....i have an extra msi 970 mobo laying around and i do wanna use it............and which parts should i use it with mobo.....

There is no performance difference between them at all, they are the same chip. If you run the FX-8350 at the same frequency as the FX-9590 then you have done exactly what AMD did at the factory via binning.

Very few 970 motherboards support the continuous high output, so I agree that your best bet is to go with the FX-8350, assuming the board isn't limited to 95W as well, in which case you would need to get the FX-8370E which doesn't need the 125W of the FX-8350.


Which MSI 970 motherboard is it exactly ? the reason I ask is the FX9590 is a 220w CPU and very few motherboards can run it, so you may have no choice but to go for the FX8350 which is a 125w CPU and should be supported by most motherboards.
 
^ Yep, stick with the FX8350.
But, what will you do with the system? Paired with a half decent GPU the FX8350 is still a decent gaming part, but if you're looking to build a home/office/internet system for a friend/relation/child/sibling the FX6300 would do just as well for less money.
