When I try installing AMD's version I get an error and the chipset drivers apparently do not install (as apparent by device manager) and when I install the motherboard chipset drivers those don't seem to install either. It just defaults to a Microsoft version of the driver dated 2015.
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R 2.0
GFX: AMD Asus RX 480 4 GB
Now I know that I won't get the full benefit of this card on the motherboard I have since it's only running at PCIe 2.0 x16 rather than PCIe 3.0, but I've noticed that it's actually less powerful than my GTX 660 that I upgraded from with all other parts remaining the same, which is why I embarked on this quest to upgrade the chipset drivers in the first place.

UPDATE:
Tried installing a chipset driver directly from AMD which is supposed to support this chipset. No luck. Still just the standard Microsoft Windows drivers are installed even after the driver supposedly successfully installed.
