Amd A10 5800k Compatibility

Hi, i'm interested in buying a Amd a10 5800k, i've already got and Radeon HD 7700.
Are the two compatible for crossfire?

No, the strongest card you can Crossfire with Trinity APUs would be the HD 6670. If you've already got a 7700, then get an actual CPU. What motherboard are you currently in?

Yeah, same here, and i've got a horrible motherboard, H61M-p31 MSI Mobo, I was going to order GIGABYTE GA-F2A85X-D3H FM2 with the 5800k if my 7700 was compatible, seeming i've only got 270 bucks..so what would you do? but I really wanted a new motherboard ranging from 100-130 bucks or I could keep my crappy motherboard, and just get a really good LGA 1155 Socket Processor

I'd go with an i5 for a gaming rig.

If you do some video rendering, photo processing, or any multi-threaded workloads, I'd get the FX-8320.
