AMD A10 5800k

Hey guys, my girlfriend wants to build an extremely low budget pc that wont lag surfing chrome and play only SIMS 4. She doesn't care about anything else. Is a standalone a10 5800k with a simple 2400Ghz Ram good at 1080p for her preferences? (and btw she wouldn't care playing sims 4 at medium to low graphics).

Would be perfectly fine for what she wants to do with it.

Even if she decides later on to venture into other games, it can handle a lot of games on lower resolutions and settings.

If you don't own the A10 5800K already. The newer A10 7XXX (FM2+) are much more powerfull in the graphics range. I currently have a 5800k built for the in-laws with 2400 DDR3 and it lags on facebook games. Otherwise it runs fine for anything else web wise.

In the past i built a computer for someone with an old AM2 X2 CPU and a Geforce GTX 660. Was able to run Sims 4 on max settings. loading was slow, but that was it.

Well i chose this because it is extremely cheap now on the shops, like 60$ lower than any a10 7xxx but thanks anyway for the warning. Might consider it.

If the 5800k lags on Facebook games I am sure something else is at fault. Here are some videos of game play on various games that are much more demanding than Facebook games with the a10 5800k.

The A10-5800k will be perfectly suitable.
