AMD A6-6400K and memory question

I am planning to build a PC for my family in the budget gaming price range, and I am going to stick with a AMD A6-6400K Richland APU, and I am going to use the 8470D IGPU, and I am planning to use a 8GB 2133 MHz kit from Geil, but as this is my family, and they still will notice a big step up from a Dell OptiPlex with a Pentium 4 in it, would it be OK to go with a 4GB 1866 kit? How much performance will be lost on the graphics side of things if I slow down the RAM speed and capacity?

Think you'd still want 8GB, especially if you drop to 1866, the APU will use DRAM for the GPU which will take awat from the 'CPU' side of the APU
