FPS PROBLEM!! I have 40-55 fps in dota 2 w/o V-sync. I thought ill be able to reach 60 stable because of msi gtx 960 2g but i was wrong,In the near future ill be replacing my mobo and CPU with a Asus B85b gaming and i5 4590 because i think my CPU is causing the frame drop. However are there any ways on how to improve my FPS while i haven't bought a better cpu?

My specs:
Mobo : Gigabyte GA-F2A78m-HD2
Processor : AMD A6-7400k
RAM : 8gb Hyper x fury 1866
GPU : MSI GTX 960 TF 2gb

you can overclock the cpu(but you might need a better cpu cooler), but the a6 is only a rather weak dual core, and for dota you dont need a i5, a i3 would suffice, or if you want to keep the mobo, get an athlon (860k if fm2+, 760k if fm2 (idk if that mobo is fm2 or fm2+))

Thanks for answering :) Is overclock safe? i heard it can cause conflict to components. My cpu cooler is cooler master v8 gts. Oh i see? so i do really need to get a better CPU.

try 4,0 first, and throw prime95 or something like that at it, if it is stable (no crashes) and cool enough (i use hwmonitor, nothing should go too high, i prefer everything under the 75C) especially the vrm's and mosfets, if all is good, you can try higher clockspeeds, i advice, go up with steps of 200mhz or 100mhz
if the vrm's are getting too hot you can aim a casefan at them to help cool them down a bit
