AMD A8-5600k temperature too high?

I have been using the PC for a while now, and there were no problems with playing games. However, after i updated the drivers, my PC freezes after playing a game for around 10 mins, forcing me to restart the PC.
The Radeon software version I currently use is Crimson 16.1.1 and processor is the A8-5600k with integrated graphics (7560d) with an Asrock FM2A88M-HD+ motherboard.
I read somewhere that reducing the CPU voltage would help and it did. The temp before I reduced the voltage was usually over 70 degrees (shown by Speccy), but after I reduced the voltage from 1.3V to 1.15V, Speccy showed that the temp stabilised around 60 degrees when idle. However, I still think that this temp is too high for when the PC is idle. When I am watching youtube or playing games the temp will rise above 70degrees. Are there any other ways to reduce the temperature?

Don't use speccy for fm2+ chipsets.
You should be using and overdrive & checking the thermal margin tab , the speccy temps are very likely wrong.

1.3v to 1.15v may seem a small drop to you but in CPU temps that's a huge difference.
I highly doubt it will be stable at that vtage under any kind of heavy load!

I don't actually know, since someone built the pc for me but im pretty certain it is the stock cooler.

I have amd overdrive and i checked the thermal margins for the cpu and it stays around 40-55 degrees. I have also changed the cpu voltage back to 1.3V. The temp would also drop to the 30's occasionally but then rise back up to the 50's. I have no idea what this means. Is this a good or bad temp for the cpu?

Amd overdrive works backwards from a Max chip temp of 71c.
When you see 40c it means your CPU temp is actually 31c (71-40)
So your temps look absolutely fine.
Don't use 3rd party stuff like speccy/hwmonitor/hwinfo on your fm2 board - its unreliable & will show erratic results.

Generally as long as that thermal margin hits a minimum of 8-10c under heavy loads you are all good.

which version do you reccommend swapping back to. I have no idea which version was the catalyst and not crimson. Also, does this mean I have to change my driver software back?
