AMD A8-6600k APU with HD 6850 Graphics card

So I'm new to the whole AMD APU scene don't really know much about them. My girlfriend has an HD 6850 in her computer with an old Core 2 Duo CPU. I can get an A8-6600k with an Asus A88XM-A Motherboard for $100 canadian. Will they work with my video card or is it worthless. Also don't really know the difference of running them in crossfire or what since the APU has a built in chip. Please explain like I'm 5 lol.

yes work, but you cant use Dual Graphics. better find an Athlon X4 FM2 or FM2+ and a FM2+ Motherboard
