FWIW I've analysed a huge number of Windows kernel dumps in my time and a significant number of those BSODs could be laid at the door of a third-party security (antivirus) product. You really don''t need them in Windows 10 or 11; Windows Defender and the Windows Firewall are plenty good enough.

Upgrade to Win10 and then upgrade to Win11

I use Sophos, it’s lightweight, quick and unintrusive.

Not true. You can get a free year by using Reward Points or using One Drive also.

I use onedrive to sync the desktop only. I am not paying cloud service. What reward points? Neither apply to me.

It is part of Windows 10 and 11. Unless you have super critical data which should be backed up in case of a catastrophe happens, windows security works great. No fee.
