AMD Active DP Question

i upgraded from a 7870 with a MDP to DVI active adapter to a Sapphire vapor-x 280x OC for next to no cash


anyway this card has a normal display port on it, wondering if i need a DP to DVI adapter or can i add a reducer in between the card and the MDP adapter

Since you are not converting the signal and it's just a "resizing" of the connector, it works fine.

humm now to pay 20 for it on newegg or two dollars and wait 15 days...

interestingly enough i logged into my linux mint installation and the other monitor queued up no issue, must be some windows driver limitation
