Amd Athlon 860K 2 cores at 17X multiplier?

I've noticed that Cores 2 and 3 are reporting speeds of 1.7GHz when it should be 3.7GHz - cores 0 and 1 are at their stock speed (3.7GHz) and remain that way, but cores 2 and 3 won't move past 1.7GHz

Is this a reason for this?

Possibly they are at idle due to the application load being only 2 threads. Or mostly 2 threads. Check Task Manager/Performance when this is happening and see if 2 cores are not doing much.

I found out what is causing it but I don't know how to fix it.

When I disable AMD cool 'n' quiet via the BIOs, cores 2 and 3 sit at 1.7GHz forever, even if I throw something that would generate high load. Cores 0 and 1 remain at 3.7GHz stable.

Enabling AMD cool 'n' quiet returns cores 2 and 3 to their stock speed.

Any ideas?

I haved the dame problem with 860k i solved by reinstall the chipset drivers of the motherboard again hope it will help you
