I THINK I'm down to 2 choices for a motherboard.

Epox EP-9NPA+ Ultra or Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra.

Price is the same.

Not a gaming box, and I don't intend to overclock.

My main concern is a stable, reliable computer.

Which would be the safest choice ?

Thanks

I second the Epox, I have one and I love it

If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one thath will go wrong first will be the one that will do the most possible damage

if you are definitely NOT going to overclock, i wouldn't go for either, instead buy the chaintech vnf4 ultra, its about 20 bucks cheaper at most online stores, and it has a more ideal physical layout (gfx card does not block other pci-e slots, memory lays horizontally). it is also known to be rock-stable, a great deal for the price.

There is no patch for human stupidity

I agree $20 or $40 don't matter in the long haul.

Still leaning toward the Epox.

But....what about the ASUS A8N-E ?? I've had a couple of ASUS boards in the past. But lately I don't know about them.

Thanks

I'd say if the EPOX has all the features you want go for it.
I bought it because of its OC potential but I was nicely surprised when it arrived it has more stuff than I needed.
It even had some nice round cables for the hard drives and small heatsinks for some parts that are prone to get hot.
It also had a small screwdriver.
I loved the mobo for it's features but the little extras are really nice though.
