Since I am not heavy on the gaming, I figured a 4770 would do just fine. If I need more graphics power if I get into more hardcore PC gaming, I can just buy another of that card and crossfire it. Would this be a good build? Thanks for the help!

You wont need more gfx power thanks to the low resolution of your tv screen .
Office work might suck because txt will probably not be all that clear though .

Its a well balanced and decent rig with as much future proofing as any computer is possible of . The only possible improvement would be to swap out the psu for a 650 watt unit . You are never going to need more than that even if you do crossfire a second 4770

Completely agree with outlander. Also, I'd tend to go for a 3x1gb DDR3 kit than 2x2gb seeing as it is triple channel and it will perform better.

the motherboard is ddr3 but it is not triple channel . AM3 is dual channel , only intel ci7 and x58 motherboards support triple channel

on a 1k budget for video encoding it would make more sense to pay the extra $100 for another hdd so the reading and writing won't happen on the same disk, slowing down the whole thing because of the hdd rushing to read/write at the same time..
