[SOLVED] AMD build ?

Im trying to build new PC with ryzen 3600, but i saw on youtube that AMD cpu need bios flash and also good memory, its seems complicated. If i go with Intel, will it need also bios flash, or building Intel its easier?

you will only need a BIOS flash if you get an older motherboard that is not already set to go, most today are ready to go. this was much more of an issue when the CPU was brand spanking new, its been our for a while and those issues have mostly been addressed.

intel may need a BIOS flas as well it all depends on the motherboard you chose and the CPU you pair with it.

I suggest you get your parts list together and post back here, we can make sure the parts will work out of the box before you buy anything.

Ok this is the stuff i wanna get. I put my GPU and PSU in this list, rest is new.

The B550 boards will work with 3rd gen cpu's straight from the box without the need of a BIOS update.

 

[Dyrex]

Some B450 motherboards doesn't need BIOS update. For example MSI MAX series. Ryzen CPU's need high memory speeds for performance.

good to go, that motherboard was MADE to work with that CPU, there are no issues to fear.
