I've been dealing with this problem for so long now and i still can't manage to find a fix.
I reinstalled windows (8.1) because i was having a few problems and now i can't install my drivers. My GPU is AMD Radeon HD 7670M and i've tried installing drivers from the laptop manufacturer's website [HP] and from AMD's website. When i install the driver from HP, it installs fine but it's as if nothing happened. No CCC, driver doesn't show up in device manager, and it's as if i didn't do anything at all. When i try downloading the driver from AMD's website, it keeps saying "Installation package failure" Pic . I've tried going to "C:\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-15.7.1-With-DOTNet45-Win8.1-64bit\Packages\Apps\CIM\Win64" and installing Catalyst Install Manager manually from it's .msi , but it comes up with "error 1723. there is a problem with this windows installer package. a dll required for this install to complete could not run." I've tried looking up a fix and i tried the following:
Changing Temp file security system.
Setting "NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation" to 0 from 2 in regedit.
Neither of those worked.
I keep searching on the internet for any new solutions but nothing changes anything.
Is my graphics card just dead?
