Hi guys
I am about to buy a cpu online so i cant test it or anything..
a wanted to do a little upgrade .. i have a quad core 4x2.3 GHZ and cant overclock it .
and now i want to buy this CPU for a little money..
http://www.centralpoint.nl/processors/amd/a6-6400k-art-ad640kokhlbox-num-2152893/

i have a FM2 Socket .. but on the specs it say supported types DDR3-SDRAM
i have a DDR2 8 GB inside my pc does it mean this cpu cant work together with a DDR2 ? or it even can handle DDR3....

Sorry for my bad english..

no it won't work with ddr2. Plus that cpu you want is only a dual core, what is your current cpu? If your current cpu is clocked that high, you could just get a new graphics card and put it in, if your power supply is good enough.

what are you current pc specs? You know you'd have to buy a new motherboard and ddr3 ram for that dual core you want right?

AMD Phenom X4 9750
AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core Processor
Socket AM2+ (940) ( i looked wrong though i had a FM2 sorry )
Core Speed 2399.0 MHz

I have a pretty old system about 5 years old.
Never upgraded it, only i bought 2 days ago a graphic card Sapphire HD7770. But games like BF4 and Call of Duty Ghost still have low FPS. though may i need to buy a CPU.
Right now i dont have the money to buy a whole new gaming pc thats why i though may i can buy a CPU and problem is solved. seems my motherboard is to old isnt it ?

Manufacturer : Acer
Model : RS780HVF
Cipset : AMD 780G
Southbridge : AMD SB700
LPCIO : ITE IT8718

Bios : R01-B3 No new Updates avaible.

Because also i had a issue with my SSD. it still working slow on stardup time.

You can definitely use the GPU on any recent motherboard, including that one. CPU and RAM are the issues.

However, that motherboard you linked is an ATX size, which is probably too big for your case. It looks like a micro-ATX.

I'd suggest getting newer tech, though. More power efficient and your SSD will work faster in something with 6Gb/s SATA ports.

it might be possible to put a Phenom II 955 cpu in an AM2+ mobo but probably a bit of trouble.

You could get a FM2 socket mobo for ~50bucks and an Athlon 750k x4 quad core cpu for ~75bucks, it would be a decent cpu to pair with the 7770

or for a bit more, an AM3+ mobo and fx 6300. Even a small cheap SSD will breath new life into that system.

You could get an older AM3 mobo that supports ddr2 so you wouldn't have to buy new ram, and like a Phenom II 955/965 or the more pricey Phenom x6

This is what i gonna buy i gues. and take out the graphic card and SSD from my old my pc and sell it for 150 euro 😀.
So pay 250 euro for a whole different better pc.
8 core processor :O
