I usually see some of these amd/vs intel discussions silly.Not over the facts or anything but the fact that alot of it can be based on regions aswell...

I use to sit with an 3Ghz northwood running an XFX 7800GS for my gaming rig and never thought i'll turn over to the dark side 😀...My Friend gave me a (Broken Motherboard and 4400+ amd cpu)According to him it didn't work.He just didnt figure out how to setup his cmos with the upgraded parts so he bought a new rig >.< and it was running like a charm for me.Then around 2 years ago i went to do a small upgrade for my pc...Went threw everything and read reviews on all cpu's.So i went with the amd 4170 as most see it as a useless cpu...Not for everyone its to much power for what i use it for.Video editing and entry level mmorpg's so opted for a 6570 sapphire ati gfx card...Even tho i play low power games i test my pc on all new games.Grid 2 i play on 1600x1200 high same with sacred 3...My whole rig cost me 4K..Running a Zalman cooler and cooler master case and only 500w psu...I ran out of moneh T_T.When idling my cpu run around 29-30 gaming 40...Burnin test it went to 47 max so im happy 😀

My friend went and got himself the i7 4770k and his cpu alone cost him 13k his total amount spend on his pc are well over 20k...So that alrdy canceled out the price to performance ratio...Even if i had to go for the 9590 it will still only cost me 5k for the cpu still around 8k cheaper than the intel...

Btw the Excavator cpu are scheduled for 2015 but rumored that it may only be released 2016 and according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excavator_%28microarchitecture%29 it will be FM2+ platform but thats good as they will make same tech for AM3+ i think not gonna go much into it but apparently it will be switching back from HMT to CMT.I think this cpu will be a win at the end of the day 😀
