Buildzoid explained it better.

Also, the chart I love giving to everyone:

Thanks, I will assuredly read into this and watch the video when I have the time to do so. Just looking at the chart, am I wrong in seeing that the top performing 7800 MT/s kit is in a 2:1:1 ratio? It has a 3900 mem clock, 1950 UCLK, and 1950 FCLK.

Could be anything, maybe there are areas in starfield that performance plummets on 285k like in cyberpunk, really can't tell until I get my hands on one and test it myself.

Clockspeed increase doesn't directly translate to performance. Games are primarily memory / cache bound. Having the CPU running faster but with no data to process doesn't do much. For example, it's a very very old video of mine, just go to the end and check the silly graph I made. Giving the CPU more data to chew on performs a lot better than just having less data but chewing faster. 20% difference in clockspeeds resulted in 4% performance increase, lol

Didn't know you had a channel. Just subbed. I'll check out what you have later. I enjoy our banter back and forth here. So why not ... I always like giving support to people who I have respect for.

Cant say im overly impressed when the 7800x3d crushes the new Intel processors in gaming anyway !!

Now if we were talking 20% over 7800x3d thats a gain to me !

If they get the cache stacking right i think the new king of kings will be the 9950x3d !!

I most likely will buy the 9950x3d if its a monster otherwise i will settle for my 7800x3d and just move from AMD next gen to the 5090 and sit on it for 6+ years..

Sadly ( and i love my AMD stuff ) but with no high end AMD GPU's next gen ill blow big $$$ on the 5090 and sit on it for a long time!!
