Hey guys,
I bought a full on AMD build yesterday thinking that I should try the RED team now, and bought a GIGABYTE AORUS RX 580 8GB (not XTR) and I installed the CRIMSON 18.2.1 driver.

But the driver is crashing in almost every games. Many times I got RSOD also, other times there are zig zag artifacts all over the screen but in the end the game crashes. I also enabled freesync via displayport on a VIEWSONIC VX2257 freesync monitor, Reading other threads I also underclocked the card to run at 1340 MHZ, this solved the problem of RSOD but still I am getting those zig zag artifacts while playing steam games like BLACK SQUAD. On the other games like MASS EFFECT ANDROMEDA if the game profile is loaded in RADEON SETTINGS the game wouldnt even launch and driver would crash.

Any help regarding what is causing all these?

SPECS:
Asus ROG B350F mbd
Gigabyte RX 580 8gigs
Ryzen 5 1600
G Skill ripjaws S3 SSD (for boot drive)
Two WD Blue 1 TB HDD
Thermaltake SMART SE 730W semi modular PSU.

Dude gataga, I installed the 18.4.1 driver but it worsened the situation of RSOD and driver crash and I had to use DDU to revert back to 18.2.1 which is causing a lot of problems but still less than the latest 18.4.1

What temperatures are you getting for cpu and gpu during gaming session?
Can you show screenshot from MSI afterburner hardware monitoring window (when gaming)? Graphs important cpu usage/temp, gpu usage/temp.
MSI afterburner hardware monitor looks like this:

17.2.1 is extremely old, latest is 18.2.1 or 18.4.1. I Also use a RX580 and never had any issues with the latest drivers, I have had issues with older drivers tho, cant remember the version.

Update to the latest driver and test again. What are your GPU temps when gaming?

Are you sure dude? I bought this GPU the yesterday and it was a factory packed GPU too.
I'm asking this because to claim warranty from the shop I bought from in my country, you have show a 100% valid reason with proof to have a replaced product.

I read on Reddit that some people were also having issues with their AMD GPUs. I'm going to assume that you are running Windows 10 version 1809, in which case suggested remedies were to:

1. Install the AMD 18.4.1 update after Windows version 1809 was installed
Or
2. Roll back to Windows version 1709 and use that instead.

No actually I'm using windows 10 version 1709, by the way could the problem be related the Display Port Cable that I'm using? And mine is a non branded DP cable. (Branded DP cables are very rare in my country🙁 )
