So here's some setting: I have two monitors and an r9 290, with one monitor connected via HDMI and the other via DVI. I tried to update to the AMD omega drivers, only to find that the DVI monitor no longer received input (even when it was the only one connected), except for during the windows boot screen. After that it was no longer detected by the OS (which is Windows 8.1). So, I uninstalled the Omega drivers, and the DVI monitor worked again. However, the HDMI monitor was now in gray scale. So, I tried installing AMD driver 13.12, only to find that now my DVI monitor is not detected (outside of the boot screen) and my HDMI monitor is displaying in gray scale (also outside of the boot screen. They both work properly in the boot screen.)
