So, my gpu is a r9 280x. I tried to update my 14.4 drivers to 14.7. I downloaded the new driver and i did a clean uninstall of the old one.

Now i installed the new driver using express install. I was surprised that it only took like around 2 minutes to install everything. I had the feeling that it did not installed correctly. So i rebooted my computer. And as expected, the driver was not installed.

So i did another clean uninstall, and install the new driver, using the option custom install.

I noticed that only 2 things showed up, which is

amd catalyst install manager and hdmi audio driver.

So i tried to install the driver using device manager, and i was able to succesfully install the driver for the gpu.

My problem now is that, i dont have ccc and all the other drivers included in the downloaded driver. Any help? Thank you so much!

if this is a intel board ...

go to computer -- program files -- ati-- and see if there is a file in it called cmi

open it and see if theres stuff in it [bin64-images-config-reports]

if so use its exe and run the installer and do a costom uninstall it should ask ''all amd ''= yes follow prompts reboot back to deastop as I said you should be on windows standard vga driver [if it goes to a screwed up screen as in the link I gave you and not to a cleal working desktop we will need to -- get a NVidia card or reinstall windows because you more than likely removed the windows driver]

if so go to computer remove the amd folder then go to program file and remove ait and ati technologies folders

go to program files x86 and remove...
I see you had a thread about asking if this card was problematic ?? between these -R- cards and the 14.xx drivers you can see the threads rolling in here at toms on them that should be your first clue

where I state remove old card in this just remove the card your using and reseat it

start computer as normal-- got to add/remove programs--- uninstall all your old cards drivers and add on programs for the card--- shut down and then reboot back to desktop normally [ i dont like to do safemode here cause it my hide an issue ] and it should be running on the windows default driver to check-- go to device manager-display- right click your card [it may just say generic vga ] - property's - driver - and see that driver provider is microsoft- if so shut down and turn off psu switch unplug it wait a min or so push the power button like you normally do to start the computer to see if its discharged-- [if the computer comes on for like a second or two and dies it now discharged] then remove your old card and install the new card as proper install instructions show for your new card-- when you got everything in order and installed correctly [monitor and all] put power back to the psu turn on switch start up computer normally and let it boot to desktop and it should be running on windows default drivers if it looks good with no issues install your new cards drivers and reboot as prompted. and hopefully all will be good to go. i like to download the driver from nvidia/amd to a file on the desktop and install it from there

No. My card is not problematic. Like i said i tried to install the video driver manually using device manager. What i dont have now is the other drivers included in the download because when i use the installer, it only shows up 2 things to install, which is amd catalyst standard and hdmi audio driver. i tried to reseat my gpu, and still the same results 🙁

well i did that, and still no fix 🙁. As seen in the screenshot only 2 things appear in the amd installation so i have no choice but to install the driver manually 🙁

once all them amd files are removed try to install the driver that you downloaed from amd [ get the 13.12 driver -- lots of issues with 14.xx and I know the 13.12 work ]
