I recently bought an AMD FireproV4900 graphics card, and im running it on windows 7 64 bit with sufficient RAM and processor but everytime i open a game the just screen plays back continuous black waves and cant seem to hold an image still. I tried downloading drviers and upgraded from a DVI connection to display port-HDMI but I can't figure out what i am doing wrong. Btw im using only one monitor and its an ASUS VS247. Help please...

Even though the V4900 has a low power requirement (TDP less than 75w), I suspect that your power supply is the problem.

While it is "rated" as a 500w PSU, I would imagine it is closer to a 300w PSU. It is of very questionable quality. You should really consider upgrading that PSU to a quality 500w (or so) unit from Seasonic, Corsair, or XFX.

Inadequate power can certainly cause issues like you are having.
What are the specs for your system? Please list your CPU, memory, motherboard, and PSU make/model at a minimum. Also, what OS (and if 32 or 64-bit).

Are you overclocking anything? And are your drivers (video, audio, network, and chipset, at a minimum) and Windows fully up to date?

Im running windows 7 enterprise 2009 on a 64 bit operating system,

i have G.SKILL Value 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C11D-16GNT,

an AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W 6-Core Desktop Processor

an ASUS M5A99FXPRO R2.0 motherboard,

a Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive,

and an APEX AL-D500EXP 500W ATX12V Power Supply.

Nothing is overclocked, and my drivers are all up to date.
