I'd like to see how this setup performs in Mists of Pandaria. Anybody have any idea? I want i3-3220 with AMD 7770 or GTX 650 ti.

I'd expect it to handle 1080p with good settings excellently.

Nice. If I wanted to step it up to High or Ultra what would I have to change, the GPU or the CPU? I'm guessing I'd change the CPU to an overclockable unit since it's such a CPU intensive game?

Yea I did decide to upgrade the graphics card, I'm going with a GTX 660. Found one on Newegg for only $189 with a $20 MIR, so for $169 (just about $30 more than the 7770 I had my eye on) there's no reason not to go for the 660.

"we're also including Intel's Core i5-3550 in our benchmark results. This gives us a reference point in order to gauge how these $125 budget-oriented CPUs measure up to a $200 model."

What was the point of this?, it's completely irrelevent. If I had a suspicious mind, I might think that Intel sent word that they didn't want people to see a benchmark where AMD came out on top.

The point is described in the text that you quoted. It's not irrelevant to want to know how some lower end to mid-ranged CPUs compare to the high end CPUs to give people an idea of how spending more budget could improve performance. There's a lot that I could say about your post if I had a suspicious mind, but I think that it speaks for itself more than well enough.
