FX with a good mid-range GPU and it'll run those listed AAA titles at med-high settings without any issues.

BTW i've looked around and saw this combination of 6100 and gigabyte board for total 15k,thought it'd be good posting here. (?)

If this is your first gaming machine might consider those with a 8gb DDR4.

If not, FX 6300 and...

Yes, the FX is capable of running those games.

Op, you will do fine with the fx 6300. That's what I have in my own system. When you can afford it, save up and get an aftermarket cooler like the cooler master hyper 212 evo(runs about 30 dollars in US currency). With that and having good airflow in your case you should be able to overclock. I clocked mine up to 4.3ghz which helps. If your cooling is good enough and depending on the board you can get, you may be able to get higher clock speeds.

I don't play far cry, but I've been playing wwe 2k15, civilization 5, assassin's creed unity on high (think I turned aa off but still pretty decent settings at 1080p.,other games, but those are newer ones I got that I can think of. Keep in mind the card I'm using is a Radeon 7950, so that way you kind of can compare.

For a budget board, I suggest the gigabyte 970-ud3p if it's available at a reasonable price. It's a little more than the basic boards, but should have 8+2 power phasing which is good if you want to overclock.

If not, FX 6300 and i3 haswell are the right choices.

Look at the cpu specs abit more closely, the L2 and L3 cache wouln't be very effective for medium or higher end games.

Reminds me of the core i3 540 I had years ago and even with that chip gaming wasn't really great.

If hes willing to come out of pocket 170+ for a intel chip this is what he should be looking into.

@maiku

please do everyone a favor and READ THE FIRST POST. i've deleted your last comment as you completely ignored this and posted information which applied to buying it in the usa with $usd.

-he needs to purchase this in india not america.
-his budget is 1000rs for the cpu and 5000rs for the motherboard.

Ok, that board should be fine. If you can afford a better one great, if not that's an ok board. I've used it in a few budget builds and it's not bad for the money.

Not sure how high you can overclock, but with an aftermarket cooler like the hyper 212 evo, I would think you could get 4ghz, maybe a little more on it?

if you're gaming, try going for Intel at any time you can, (I know you'll need a new mobo) but Intel cores are sooooooooo much better than AMD for single core performance, which is what most games run at. I just shelled out $175 on a new 8350, thinking it would fix everything, and nothing changed when I upgraded from my 8120.
