hi guys, need a little advice.

I'm looking to buy a AMD FX-8310 for my new rig, now the question is will a Hydro Series H55 water cooler be enough to keep my system running smoothly

and if not, what would you recommend!!!!

While I agree the h100i is a great cooler, the fact that 120mm coolers aren't worth the money though? Nuh uh, I own the h55 silent edition and boy does this thing cool my FX-6300! I was able to overclock to 4.5 GHz and keep it under @ a load of 70C, I did turn it down to 4.2 GHz. I would buy a new set of fans if you plan on buying a corsair cooler however, they all tend to die out with me.

AMD FX processors are suppose to run at 62C or below, 120/140mm coolers are not sufficent for your 6 core, let alone an 8 core.

Update: I found a picture when I overclocked it to 4.3 GHz, temperatures were at a max of 46C.
