I've noticed several threads on forums talking about CPU unparking and haven't thought about it for myself as I usually don't have any performance issues while gaming, until today someone mentioned that unparking cpu cores might help with microstutter on battlefield 4? Generally I thought it was from the netcode and server instability but I was wondering what the community's thoughts were on it?

Actually, apparently Resource Monitor can show parked cores. But it's not a very effective means of seeing it, as it only polls at 1 second intervals, or thereabouts, meaning parking could be happening hundreds of times in the span between refreshes.
In the Task Manager, switch to the Performance tab and then click the Open Resource Monitor link at the bottom.
In the Resource Monitor, click the CPU tab page, and on the right side, you'll be shown the status of your cores.

You can always switch Windows power profile to High Performance and see if your micro stutter is lessened. Provided you haven't messed with anything, the High Performance power profile should, among other things, instruct Windows not to park your processor cores.

Umm, parking and un-parking usually happens so fast you wouldn't see it if you saw it, unless it was parked for a considerable length of time. We're talking split seconds. I do not know of any method for viewing the "parked" status of a processor core, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

Your problem isn't as much cpu parking as it is EA's ineptness. BF4 is a great game in the hands of a competent developer. So I will douse my flames, and give you a solution.

It made an unbelievable difference for me to the point that I'm putting off my upgrade. I'm running a Phenom II x4 955 chip.
I tried the unparking utility, and I think it's only certain Intel chips. I saw no difference I could prove.

BTW EA didn't program or design BF4. DICE is the author. EA only publishes games. If you don't know the difference yet you're simply another one of the bandwagon blame EA types. It is DICE's responsibility to fix the issues with BF4 the problem is not anyone of the devolopers EA publishes for. The problem is that EA pressures release dates forcing developers to rush the development process.
