AMD FX-8350 Black Edition with two 970s

Hello,

I currently own an FX-8350 and a single 970 card, the CPU is water cooled and barely breaks the 40 degree mark when heavy gaming.

Most often i play many triple A titles such as Battlefield, GTA V so on so forth, yet would i see much difference if i stuck another 4-GB 970 card in? Or are most games CPU intensive?

I have a Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 which will allow me to slot another one in and potentially go SLI.

Any help will be appreciated as i was thinking about going all out and purchasing an i7 6700k and other parts yet my machine is barely 3 years old.

Your FX 8350 will surely bottleneck 2 970's in SLI. An switch to Intel is definitely necessary. An i5 6600k or i7 6700k should be fine.

If you're overclocking get a 6600k, otherwise an i5 6500 will suffice.
3 years is actually quite old in terms of PC age, time for a platform upgrade!
Give me a budget and i'll whack something together.
