AMD FX-8350 Overheats while gaming

This seems to be a problem with the 8350s and I've looked over a bunch of the threads already and have tried to do as much as I could. Just would like some more ideas if there are any out there. At idle my CPU seems fine somewhere between 16C to 20C depending on whats happening in the background but anytime I put it under load (BIOS or gaming) I just watch the temp climb to 80C in minutes.

I have not overclocked or changed anything in the BIOS, just happened to notice my room was getting warmer than normal. I have put a fan to blow cooler air into the computer room, checked my case airflow and cleaned all my filters, removed the old stock heat sink and replaced with a Cyrorig H7, I have used Arctic Silver 5 (middle dot), removed thoroughly cleaned with Arcticlean 1&2 and reinstalled the heat-sink, loaded optimized defaults, and reset CMOS.

I would prefer not to just throw money at this so I am asking that water cooling/upgrading parts be put on the back end of this troubleshooting but I am open to suggestions so even if you want me to redo something I have already done just trying to get this fixed.

I could do that I just don't see much over heating in the rest of the case so I am not sure if it would do much. These are the temps for my rig under load.

If your MB is the rev3.0 or below, and the MB may have the VRMs overheat problem.

Don't add more money to buy the new AM3+ MB, either the water cooler too, the Cyrorig H7 is good enough, but they ( tower cooler and water cooler ) don't help in this situation, only a top-down blowing design cooler will help.

If your MB is the rev3.0 or below, and the MB may have the VRMs overheat problem.

(Un)Fortunately I have the rev. 4.0. Do you know if they made an improvement on the rev.4.0's VRMs, or are they still having different issues with heating? I had seen a few posts from people saying their mbs were putting too much voltage to the CPU, but couldn't find an example with a similar setup like mine.

I updated my BIOS which seemed to make a small improvement with the temperature climb but not the heating. It will still reach 80C just a little slower now.

I do monitor the motherboard temperatures as well. I don't see much climb unless the temp sensor is reporting from a different position. If that were the case I wouldn't know my VRM temps.

Keep in mind the maximum operating temp for the fx8350 is 61C. Yes, you are hard to monitor the VRM temp.
