I've recently bought an MSI HD 7950 im prety sure my fx 4100 is a complete bottleneck. I mainly play games: borderlands 2, Batman Arkham city, dues ex, witcher 2. I mostly saw the 4100 at work in borderlands 2 when i was getting 24 fps and under whereas I would get higher with my previous GPU a 4850!
So then I thought it would be a good to upgrade to an fx 8350 but people said I still couldnt reach the 7950's full potential and would be better of with an intel cpu (i5) but that would mean I would need a new motherboard (along with the more expensive intel cpu it would brake the bank for me).
So would an fx 8350 be a bottleneck the 7950 (or any future possible upgrades like an extra 7950), or get an intel cpu which could do so (Id only choose this option if I couldn't choose the first).
specs:
motherboard: Gigabyte M68MT-S2
CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.6ghz (stock fan)
GPU: HD-7950
RAM: 2x4 DDR3 1333Mhz
PSU: Crusade 750W Dual-Rail High Efficiency '80 Plus' Power Supply
