AMD fx 8350 vs Intel i5-4670k

I've been having trouble deciding over an Intel cpu or AMD processor. I'm looking for 40+ fps on ultra setting 1080p for games like Crysis 3, Farcry 3, and BF4 I'm willing to pay for the intel processor if the change in FPS if more significant that the AMD processor is. What I want to know is if:
fx 8350 with R9 280x would perform better
or
i5-4670k iwth R9 280x would perform better

i5, more cpu intensive the better. Yes, it will be significant.
