I want to overclock my CPU(fx8370), but I don't know if I have good components for that(mainly motherboard).

My computer spec.
AMD FX 8370(WITH WRAITH COOLER)
GIGABYTE HD 6850 Ultra Durable OC 1GB
ASUS M5A78L LE
8G RAM

Can I overclock it to 4.6Ghz?
What values do I set up in bios?

Please someone help

Solution
Like most budget AM3+ motherboards, this would be a very poor motherboard to attempt to overclock a 125W CPU. Very anemic configuration of voltage regulator modules and IIRC, no motherboard heatsink. It's not something the cooler will really help all that much in, it just has a very weak power delivery system, as again, do most inexpensive AM3+ motherboards. If you're running that CPU at stock without any throttling right now, I'd consider that a win and quit while I'm ahead.

There are several AMD Wraith versions (Stealth, Spire & Max) and they are rated from 65W TDP to 95W TDP.
The AMD FX 8370 is rated at 125W TDP, so you might need a better cooler.
The motherboard power delivery and even the case air flow could have an impact on the success of an overclock. So make sure to keep your CPU and motherboard cooled very well.

You might need something like the CRYORIG H7

The Cryorig H7 is a terrific budget cooler and one I recommend all the time, but in this very specific situation, if he does try to overclock, I'd prefer a down-draft cooler.

(OP, I'm talking theoretically, I would not try to overclock on this motherboard)
