Is the 9590 worth the extra money? Seems to me that it's just an expensive way to set fire to your motherboard?

Solution
I recommend the 8370 (personally 8320) over any 9xxx unit.

You may wish to get a Xeon or i7 processor though, as you are upgrading your motherboard already.
A Xeon 1231v3 would be a cheap option to high multithreaded performance, the i7 6700k is a step up from the Xeon, but for that price you should look at a Haswell-E i7-5820k. Both of those i7s will offer phenomenal performance plus the use of DDR4 Ram.
What is your full system? What are your goals? What is your budget?
I generally recommend against the 9590, as it is just a factory OCed 8320. You can get similar, if not the same results from doing it yourself.
There are much better options out there.

So everyone recommends the 8370 over any 95** series?
I am looking to upgrade so my current motherboard wont support either of these; but I don't have a budget as such, I just want a decent set up - preferably for less money if I can!
As for my goals... I'm guessing you mean what I will be using it for? I do a lot of 3D CAD, video editting, multitasking etc, not so much a hardcore gamer but I 'dabble'

I am limited to micro ATX or mini ITX boards because of my new case, don't mind getting an intel set up but seems a lot more expensive for what you get. And I've only really looked into AMD support boards so far...

The performance, extra features, and power/heat on the intel side is well worth the cost.
Since you are limited to mATX you really only have intel as an option. I dont recommend any FX processor on anything less than a 970 board, 990FX recommended. mATX boards lack proper chipsets and power delivery for me to recommend it.

Can you recommend a decent mATX intel set up then?

I didn't necessarily mean an intel setup with an ASrock mobo, but thanks, will check these out. Any decent mATX intel set up that isn't ASrock?

Ah touche monsieur...Will have a looky looky, Cheers
