How much are you willing to spend?

You could check on higher spec AM3+ (socket) CPU. If this was a prebuilt, make sure that CPU was offered in a higher line spec of your model. Probably won't amount to much perceived increase in performance. I tend to agree with the above that putting an SSD in place of the HDD would do wonders.

What do you mainly use the computer for? If it's mainly web browsing all it really needs is an SSD. Other than that, an extra 8gb of ram for 16gb total wouldn't hurt.
