[SOLVED] AMD FX8350 CPU HIGH TEMPERATURES!

Hi everyone, recently i noticed my amd fx8350 gives me high temperatures when playing (for example warzone) hitting almost 80ºC, and as far as i know, its said by amd that this cpu should go up to 62ºC. Ive seen a gameplay of warzone, and it was on 52ºC. Idle its between 20C to 40C.
My mob is a MSI 970 Gaming and GPU is R9 380 4gb. With kingston 16gb ram.
History of my computer:
Bought it 4-5 years ago. Last year changed the stock cooler for a Tacens Mars Gaming Cooler - MCPU3 with equal or better specs than the Hyper212 evo, and filled all fans in case, which are 3, also from the same brand. It was suposed to be a nox but it was to big for my case.
Yesterday repaste. still got the same temperatures. Help me.

Hmmm. I was going to ask for info, as well as telling you something you already know, that 80c will kill a FX chip REAL fast.
I see you repasted the cooler. This tells me silly things like an entire small dog's worth of crud living in the cooling fins is not the issue here. As per the above comment, does multiple monitoring software all report these really high temps? Same in bios? Does it feel/smell like it's an inch from bursting in to flame? Because ya, it ought to be throttling real hard by 80c, if not close to thermal safety shutdown.
Speaking of which. You should be able to set in bios the thermal shutdown limit in degrees C. Check what it's at right now. Then drop it to, say, 75 c . Try to use the system as you did when it hit 80c . See if it shuts itself down or not. If yes, go back in to bios, and move that shutdown temp up 2 degrees and repeat.
Having the system turn itself off is not particularly harmful vs. having it run stupid hot.

For comparison, I ran an 8350 for several years with a Coolermaster S524 downdraft cooler, so not as good as a Hyper 212 by a bit. 4.6 Ghz 24/7 oc, ran about 53-54 c under normal gaming loads.

FX likes 55 ish c for long life and happiness. So hopefully some head scratching here can resolve this for you.

Use Ryzen Master to measure thermal margin (how close it is to 62c). It was common for other software to incorrectly report FX cpu temperature. If it was 80c you should be seeing significant throttling and very poor performance.

I will check that. Whats weird its that right after repaste, stress test for an half hour give me 65C and when i played fps where dropping and spiking like crazy, then at night settled down.

I will update you soon. But yeah feels like with cook the thickest piece of meat you can every buy, and fry some eggs.

Ryzen master doesn't work with FX chips, perhaps you meant AMD Overdive.
i saw about that but its discontinued ill try downloading it from other site.

In the Bios is like 33 to 35C, with mob around 37-38C. And temp max defined its 70C. Does it mean its suposed to shutdown at that temperature? If so it isnt doing.

Can it be virus or windows os ? I have windows 10 v1809. Also i just booted pc 5 min ago it shows cpu 100% load with around max 66C (what should be), and its doing this since i started watching it, after repaste. AOD its now it 4C thermal margin. im not playing or doing anything

Looking at temperature while in BIOS is practically useless because at that time it's in idle but without cooling at it's best.
In AOD critical temperature is under "Margen termica" or Thermal margin to ~62c wher it should at least lower frequency. It's also important only under load.

It could be some malware but also may have just decided to update to 1909. See if you can disable all startup programs.

Yes that's why I thought it would be a quick test against the temps you are seeing in software.
You would need to check if "temp max" equals turning the system off on your mobo.
If so, then it is impossible for that 80c to be right, since it should have shut off long before that.
As in, the software on your screen in Windows is not reading right,

I have my startup programs always deactivated. I am going to run the antivirus. About the os, i dont have the original, and dont know why, it gives me error when trying to install updates.

Just updating: antivirus found nothing so i used sfc command so there are corrupted files but couldnt fix, so im trying other command, and after will try do force windows update. ASAP ill give more updates.

You could always use Media Creation tool to download 1909 but can also wait a bit for 2004 as it should be out in couple of weeks. In mean time maybe you should check your system by running sfc /scannow and dism commands.
i did that, it has some "corrupted files couldnt fix". tried dism or wuauserv, nothing. Im resetting this piece of ....im getting tired.

One more update: stress tests of 30min, always shown me 65-66ºC, today after resetting my pc, i tried checking AOD, and gives me thermal margin to 70ºC. Now the thing is why is higher while gaming, up to 80ºC? I was speaking with a friend he remind me of case airflow. Can that be the problem? Since gpu is working along.

Still the same temperatures. But in gaming cpu is only about 70% usage. Should i get a bigger case? (Read my last update please)
