hey guys just built a new gaming pc. Its cpu is an amd fx8350 and the gpu is an r9270. So far its been running pretty good but when i loaded up a bf4 64 man server the fps was a little disappointing. i opened up the cpu- gpu graph and it showed the cpu utilaization being alot higher than the gpus. now the first thing that i thought was wow this cpu is bottlenecking the gpu. But when i got on my dads computer (he has and amd fx8320 and a gtx750ti) he was getting much better fps on 64 man servers and on the graph the utilzation was the same. ive already checked the temps on the cpu and they never seemed to go over 56 degress Celsius . so is some setting in the bios holding the cpu back? i have the latest bios version. also when i have open this msi afterburner app the gpu usage doesnt wanna go above around 70 percent usage
specs
amd fx8350 stock speeds
amd r9270
ripjaws 8gb ddr3 ram
asus m5a97 r2.0
seagte barracuda 500gb harddrive
evga 500w psu

I have the m5a97 r2.0 but i know per core processing is weak on amd but again my dad has the same cpu (technically) and gets better fps than I do. Also I run the game on medium settings

Yes switch the two gpus and see what happens. The 270 is faster than the 750ti and should achieve better results. The only other thing I can think of is your psu is not very good.

The Asus M5A97 R2.0 is a good motherboard but the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 is not.

what cpu cooler are you using in your pc?
what is the exact model of the psu?
are your drivers, game patches, o.s. updated?

use damrics tutorial and amd overdrive to monitor amd cpu's thermal margin:

An Understanding of Temperature on AMD CPUs and APUs
http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html
and check for possible cpu/gfx card throttling in high activity areas.

may be your dad's playing at a lower resolution and/or slighly o.c.'ed and/or has set the cpu at constant turbo clockrate i.e. minor overclocked static clockrate.
