Hey everybody,

my system:

i7 4790k
16 gb RAM
Z-97 Pro Mainboard
Windows 10 64bit

Sapphire Radeon R9 280x Vapor-X Tri-X OC

So, one week before, I used to have an Nvidia GTX 970. I'm using two screens, one with HDMI connected to the GPU, one with DVI connector. And also I'm using my Samsung TV via some HDMI switch to mirror my main computer
screen and to give out sound via the TV's speaker system. Sadly, my 970 died and I replaced it with the GPU mentioned above.

I uninstalled all the Nvidia drivers, downloaded the newest Adrenaline driver, and since then, windows doesn't even show my TV in the "Sound" window anymore, therefore I can't use it as sound output. It still mirrors my main screen.
But the option to use it as a sound output is gone. So I tried a couple of things so far:

  • Checking the device-manager, uninstalling the drivers there.
  • Disabling the realtek audio from my onboard sound in the UEFI
  • checking the "sound" window for disconnected and deactivated devices. it just shows like 6 offline screens.
  • using DDU to completely uninstall everything AMD-related, and reinstalling

The only thing that worked so far, is using the old Catalyst Drivers. But these make some games unplayable. So right now, I have to choose which driver I use, either for gaming or using my TV.

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks in advance
