AMD is just BAD!

Seriously, neither Intel or AMD is giving us money to use their product. So why would you become emotive about them. Fact is, we give them money.

And both of them just announce product ahead of time to make us rave about what may or may not appear.

Actually AMD doesn't announce their products ahead of time to the extent Intel does, when's the last time you've seen AMD officially annouce a CPU to come out in the next 5 years as Intel seems to do every day.

well, when ppl start insulting... it's pretty dumb. When Intel fanboys insult AMD fanboys... makes themselves look bad. But look who started it... a AMD fanboy, and because he was insulting ppl who like Intel, ppl just had to throw back some dirt... I guess you think we (who like Intel) should just shut up and let you throw dirt and crap all over us. Like, yeah right.

but this discussion is probably useless, like so many other discussions going on right now, so I think I'll just drop this thread. And I'll take a look at mozz's posts.

Why do you think I use AMD now. my point is that I don't use a name, I use a CPU. So, the next CPU I'll be using will be the one that will make the best fit for all my need. Even if it is a Cirix or a VIA ...

To give you an hint, Mozz was one that had an Intel CPU running at more than 4 Ghz.. Yes. He had intel, he was nice and no fanboy. So, since you don't know the guy, you make assumption.

So, simply with this sentence, you assumed he was a fanboy of one brand.

You see, the number of post or the time that one has been registred mean something actually. it means that one can understand better whet another meant.

well... I buy the best performance I can get... for the least money... I happen to think that I can get more performance out of an Intel. So what?

More posts = more knowledge? No sir, I do not believe that.

That's true there man. The thing is, AMD keeps things under wraps to keep all of us in suspense. The good thing about that is, they come out on fire cause they are hot right now that's for sure. I put together a new X2-3800 and i'm about to OC it. At stock speeds, its fast though. 😀

not more knowledge about hardware, but about the guy and his stories...

Yes, I would agree with you on that.

Is it possible to ban the word fanboy and any related posts from this forum? It is getting out of hand. I thought we were all here to discuss our rigs, help each other, and drool over the next generation...

Everything that has to be said about them just has been said in lot of post prior to this one. searching the forum will give you some interresting thread

Could we just all agree that these two major CPU brands are both equally good? Like what you want, but don't be a jerk cause you have one or the other.

I like one and think the other is not as good for my needs. But I could use either and do what I want to do just fine without noticing much difference. They aren't really that much different than a bit of architecture.

I am a Processor.
Hath not a Processor trasnsitors?
Hath not a Processor core(s), branch predictor, Floating Point Unit, Level 1 and 2 Cache, Bus Interface, 45,65,90,130nm process?
Fed with the same electricity, hurt with the same abuse, subject to the same flaws, broken by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same water and air, as a motherboard is?
If you overclock us, do we not overheat?
If you put us in standby, do we not sleep?
If you do not take care of us, do we not die?
And if you overtax us, shall we not BSOD?

Just a hint to you, and the other guys who jumped on this thread.
If someone has like almost 5k posts, maybe he is talking to some old friends.
It's not such a big deal if you just chill and see what some of us old members say, before jumping in.
Many of us like to get the best bang for our buck. Then thier are people like Mozz, who realy can make lemonade from lemons.
I'm not trying to get in anyones face about this, but I would really have preferred a better welcome back for my old friend.

Wow. You really made my day. It is so nice to see you again.
I am sorry that I wasn't the first to post. It might have set a different tone.
So are you saying that all your rigs got wrecked by Katrina?
What are you running now? Were you at least able to salvage some of your DDR2? It would be nice to see what you could make it do when Amd goes AM2.
