[SOLVED] "Amd only" ram

So there is amd only ram. Bought two sticks of ddr3 8gb ram from aliexpress and my PC keeps rebooting. My mobo is Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3. My question is did they actually just lock ram only for select amd boards? link:

While the memory may be optimized for use in an AMD based motherboard, it is still standard DDR3 memory. The same goes for the Intel memory.

What is the exact make/model of the memory you are trying to use?

Is your BIOS set to default memory speeds, or are you trying to manually tweak the settings?

well those amd optimised are for am3 platform (am3 had issues running intel sticks)
same went for am2 or am4

just a side note
AMD only (for AM2 or AM3 platforms) used 11bit columns with 16K page size
while rest (intel) used 10bit columns with 8K pages

so ram modules which were refered as AMD only didnt work on intel just for this reason
